Backstory
James grew up in a small beach town in Australia. He loved it there, he went to the beach almost everyday and would stay there for hours. James picked up surfing along with some of his friends and they would practice often. His mother worked at the school in town and his father would stay at home with him. He had a tight bond to both his parents. He had always been very smart from the start his mother had made sure he studied a ton. It benefited him a lot over time because he was advanced for his age and would often have free time to go to the beach. When he turned 16 there was a fire in the house. James had woken up first and had rushed into his parents room. He grabbed his mother first and dodged through flames and brought her down. But when he rushed up to his father the fire was blocking the door, he didn't know what to do so he ran back outside. He climbed up the side of the house on a ladder and grabbed his dad carrying him down. James was burned severely but both of his parents made it out only with minor injuries. They figured they would just find another house but someone accused James' father of starting the fire and he was sent to jail. James knew his father didn't do it but there was evidence backing up the fact that he did it. James was extremely mad when his mother told them they had to move in with his grandmother in America. James was heartbroken to leave his father in another country in jail for something he didn't even do. He misses his old home and his father but makes the best of Lakewood.
